Adrian Ballintine was born in 1955 and attended Box Hill High School in Melbourne before completing his qualification as a Town Clerk at RMIT.
Adrian was employed by the cities of Nunawading , Sherbrook and Prahran and was Assistant Town Clerk of the City of Prahran at age 27. Adrian left Local Government to pursue a career in technology and worked in Europe and Scandinavia for ASX listed BBJ International before starting his own business at age 29.
Ballintine has been involved in the establishment of several ASX and NASDAQ listed companies including GUPTA Technology, ASYMETRIX, STARWAVE and ANSEARCH.
Adrian listed NewSat with Microsoft Co Founder, Paul Allen, in 1999 and remains Founder and CEO of that company. NewSat is Australia’s largest independent satellite provider and has recently announced intentions to launch Australia’s first geo-stationary satellite covering the Middle East, Australia and South East Asia.
Ballintine has been a Director of the Richmond Football Club, is a life member of the Former Players and Officials of Richmond Football Club, is a member of the Heritage Golf Club and Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club, is a 30 year member of the Toorak RSL and an active participant in Black Marlin World Championship Fishing Events.
Adrian is the owner of Australia’s oldest Motor Yacht Company, Cresta and over sees the sales and manufacture of luxury 70ft motor yachts worldwide.
He recently teamed up with Swiss billionaire, Dr Peter Grauer to join the Silicon Fire Board in Zurich and will help Silicon Fire realise their green fuel venture throughout the world.
Dr Grauer has recently taken a stake in Cresta Motor Yachts to help fund environmentally friendly, no emission, luxury motor yachts.
Adrian is married with one son, who manages the motor yacht business and resides between Melbourne and the Sovereign Islands.
