Ian has over 25 years experience in corporate finance and investment banking at Chase, Bank of America, SBC and most recently leading an infrastructure finance initiative at a major Washington based consultancy.
His experience includes advising governments, industrial, resources companies and utilities in relation to the strategic development and project financing of major infrastructure projects in the transport, resources and utility sectors. He focuses on debt and equity, tax effective financing, investment and development strategies, acquisitions, capital structuring, risk management and commercial and contractual negotiations.
Transactions successfully completed include: light rail and rolling stock; Australian airports privatisation; wind farms develop in Germany, France and Australia; major coal and commodity ports; biomass; coal bed methane; coal fired power; various hospital and cogeneration plants; toll roads, defense facilities and major sea ports.
Ian holds Bachelors of Economics and Law from Macquarie University in Sydney; Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia; Member of Institute of Company Directors and Institute of Arbitrators.
